Nice mix, Nick! I’m liking the Root City and Tower of Power shout outs, very nice. Get your hands on Townshend’s ‘White City’. Listen to it straight thru without stopping, before deciding if you like it or not. Don’t question my suggestion. Do it. Also, SuperTramp’s ‘Brother Where You Bound’ both from about ‘85. The guitar solo in the last song is amazing. u just might recognize the guitarist from his sound…I enjoyed the catch up on The Who. Somebody’s been reading the liner notes…

Robert Randolph is great…Indigenous too. Play some of them…

Who gave RR his start ? Trivia for ya. I’ve seen ‘them’ 5 times in the last 4 years at the Winnipeg Folk Festival and at the Cedar Cultural Centre. You need to check ‘them’ out! Definitely.

How come no Miles, or ‘trane, or Cannonball ?

Do some pushups, you’re getting fat!

South Metro will miss you this year!

But I look forward to hearing of your future rugby exploits there Scholarship boy!

Cheers

Nick, loved the Root City and Tower of Power listings. Also, the Atmosphere and Who tracks. Very nice. Do you have Townshend’s ‘White City’ ? If not, get it and listen to it from start to finish without stopping before deciding if you like it or not. I think you will. You obviously respect Pete’s writing.

Also, get Supertramp’s ‘Brother Where You Bound’ album and listen to it from beginning to end. Both are great concept albums, with great session musicians sitting in. Especially Brother, the final track is amazing. Amazing Guitar work. You just might recognize the guitarist but listen to it first, before reading up on him.

How come no Miles, ‘trane, or Cannonball ? Do you have CB Adderley’s Live In Japan album ? It’s a must have.

Do some pushup, you’re getting fat!

Looking forward to hearing hearing of your future Rugby exploits there Scholarship Boy.

Don’t forget, I know where you live AND where you’re HOME TOWN is, so send me an email back or I’ll show up at your dorm room some day!

Cheers

You have managed to turn my strict 10 minute break into a “Okay, maybe five more minutes won’t hurt…” -break! Curse you and your awesome hindi songs! (And other great songs as well!)
